About Me

Hello! My name is Amy Peterson Case. I was awarded a Ph.D. in Public Health with a major in Policy and minors in Management and Health Promotion/Behavioral Science in August 2012. In addition to my academic qualifications, it has been my honor to have spent the past 20 years as a public health professional focused on disease prevention and health promotion. I believe that this depth of experience, (including 17 years in the trenches of at a large state health department) brings a valuable perspective to any learning organization.

In October 2015, I successfully completed the exam to become a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), signifying facility with both basic and advanced theory and practice in health education/health promotion and program design and evaluation.

I prize efficiency and timeliness; at the same time, I enjoy identifying creative, out-of-the-box solutions to situations from everyday work logistics to thorny research questions to human behavior puzzles; especially helping students and professionals to develop flexible, cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills.
